Our client had a nice u-shaped house with a tiled roof, which was perfect for entertaining – as long as it wasn’t raining!
So we had to ensure that we covered as much space as possible, and still kept the costs down. We decided to build a Skillion roof. This was perfect for the area.
The design also allowed airflow for those hotter days.
We stained all the timber rafters, bearers and battens for both waterproofing and looks. All the timber used was hardwood, and the combination of the stained hardwood, along with the sheer size of the Colorbond roof over the entertaining area has really come together well, and looks great (Imagine the colour of the roof sheet as your particular colour).
