First of all, we had to clean up the area underneath the house. This involved removing the existing tiles. It proved to be quite difficult, as the tiles were bedded directly onto the concrete, and when we used the jack hammer to lift the tiles, about 50mm of concrete came up with them. Well, that was hard work
Starting downstairs, we installed a new kitchen, refurbished a bathroom, ensuite, guest room, study, laundry, lounge and dining room. We re-tiled the existing internal stairs, and refinished the handrail and balustrade.
On the upper level, we removed the kitchen and made that space into two bedrooms. We created a void over the new kitchen on the lower level, renovated and existing bathrooms and toilets, and polished the timber floors throughout the entire upper level. The front and back verandahs had a facelift by fixing the existing handrail and balustrade, and removing the external front stairs.
We painted the entire house, inside and outside, and as you can see from the photos, the house has come up very beautiful. The landscaping that has been done has, in my opinion, maximized the beauty of the house.
