Shordley Street, Chermside West
Here is an older style home on the Shordley Street, Chermside, West Northside of Brisbane, which we took great pleasure in bringing back to life. We worked alongside our client, and produced a modern looking home, without too many structural changes to the outside, while completely revamping the inside of the house.
We gutted the internal walls and ripped up the 70′s inspired carpet and kitchen. Our builders constructed a deck at the rear of the property, and installed a large aluminum stacker door, to maximise the space, allowing the rear deck to become more then just an area used to occasionally entertain. A new kitchen was also installed by our builders, along with a bi-fold window over a stone servery, opening out onto the deck, making it the perfect entertaining area.
A new entry brightens up the house and loungeroom, with the front bedroom making use of the existing windows to capture the morning sun and to keep costs down. An ensuite and large walk-in-robe compliments the new bedroom design, to which we had our team of Brisbane Builders drop in 2 very nice sets of louvres that will let plenty of light in.
We utilised the space in the hallway with a large linen cupboard, and the builders fitted robe doors, painting them the same colour as the walls, so they blended in well.
There was not alot of work done underneath the house, just some cleaning up, to allow the client to have some car parking space, to keep his vehicle out of the Shordley Street, Brisbane climate.
